District Information:
We are very fortunate in the north hills of Pittsburgh to have some great school districts. So whether you are new to the area or just browsing, here is all the information you'll need to find the right district. The links on the right will give you such pertinent data as the student to teacher ratio district schools, PSSA scores or how the students rank in math and reading.
The links on the left are the separate school district web sites. Browse through the different links and gather a wealth of information to make the best decision possible for your children.
If you would like us to send you a custom school report for any of our local districts just visit our contact page and let us know the school district(s) you are interested in and we will prepare one for you.

Allegheny Millage Rates by Municipality
(Local,
school & county taxes combined - 2005)
|
|
|
|
A mill is equal to one tenth of one cent. There
are different ways to calculate taxes from the
millage rate but one simple way is to multiply
the millage rate by the number of thousands of
dollars of assessed value that are to be taxed.
For example a property assessed
at $150,000 in Millvale borough would have a
tax bill of $5,353.50 per year (150 X 35.69
mills). The same $150,000 property in Sewickley
Hills borough would receive a tax bill of 3,362.25
(150 X 22.415 mills).
